Lots of ups and downs occurred in the last two months. A series of unfortunate events took place, which will hopefully turn around into something more fruitful!
Still working on our new home…it’s all in working condition now. Studio room has 3 working desks, as opposed to the old 2. Also, finally purchased and organized all of the essential furniture. Time for some detailing! I’d like to add some more plant life to the studio, but I’m not sure what would look nice, and what to mount it on…~Sip

Little advice I told my mother; a plant can liven up a room. Key word there being “A”, don’t be like her and put 50 plants in a room so that it becomes hard to move without being poked and prodded in all sorts of weird places.

lol…I’ll take your advice!!
I don’t plan on adding too much. I have one of those small Japanese tree plants on a table. It looks a bit lonely, so I was thinking adding something on the wall maybe….just not sure what to get, or where to place it…I want to keep everything nice and clean.

Yeah, not going to happen with plants. Sooner or later you are going to have dirt from the plant everywhere and you’ll be sitting there cursing the plant and everything to do with photosynthesis.

lol you guys >_< …yep…darn allergies. Bamboo hahaha…sunflower would look nice, but I don’t think it would last very long - _ - …I think I’ll just keep plants out for now (aside from the small table one). I need to design something for the walls now!!

Well I would try painting the house colors like blue or white. That livins things up quite a bit. =] If you can/have the time.
I was wondering, how was Sheridan College?
studioqube | 31-Oct-07 at 8:27 pm | Permalink
Hey
… most of the place is white, some rooms have a tint of yellow/light brown (not my choice, just never got around to painting them yet). The studio room has been newly repainted to a nice warm white (not super pure bright white….forget what the actual paint is called though). We’ll have some prints up on the walls to add some nice color
.
Sheridan…mixed feelings. Good and bad. Certainly one of the better art schools out there…however, too focused on very few specific areas (editorial in particular). First two years are great for learning the basics. However, because of the shift to degree from diploma, most of the good instructors have left by now. Electives tend to hinder efforts made to improve, and so, you’re often forced to practice and learn on your own time (summer, or have no life and work on your almost non-existent spare time). There’s a lot of positive talk around the school, but I personally believe that there could be a lot done to improve the program and the school’s future image…despite the constant renovations and updates (such as brand new top-end computers every year), it’s a little out of date for my taste.

LOL SD…I think time stopped for highschools in 98 hahaha…my old school used old Winblows as well…it’s a bit costly for schools to keep up, but 98 is a little ancient >_<
Anyway…I think I’ll make a new post this weekend
